  Came here for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the offerings they had here, especially delighted by the great service and extremely great prices.
  
  We arrived right during prime time lunch at 12PM, and they were serving their buffets for $9.95.
  
  This buffet includes not only variety of pizzas, but also a salad bar and pastas. One fun surprise was the pizza dessert!
  
  The best part of this entire experience was the friendly and welcoming staff. They made sure we had a great time and we are definitely going to return when we visit again! Thank you and keep doing what you do.

  My first time here.  My friend is vegan/vegetarian.  They had something for him.  I am a carnivore, and they certainly had something for me.
  
  The restaurant was VERY comfortable.  Everyone was having a good time, including the staff.  
  
  The server was amazing and took great care of us.  The food was hot and fresh.  
  
  I will be back in KC the following weekend and I will make time to get away to go get more pizza from Waldo's.  LOVE this place.

  Went for lunch the other day and tried the buffet. Two words: Don't bother. $12.45 for a buffet and glass of tea. Limited pizza selections and the pizza wasn't fresh.
  
  Ordering off the menu is a completely different experience. Food is great and well priced.
  
  Just avoid the lunch buffet.

     Waldo Pizza from the outside looks like Paddy's Pub but it's way less vulgar and way more family friendly, but it does have beer! It lives and dies by its ability to execute a bustling lunch buffet. Add in the fact it was a long weekend in the summer, multiply the urgency to keep hot food flowing, midwestern diners happy, and kids fed timely. Surprisingly enough Waldo Pizza did a fine job of doing all three of these things and kept my family of four satisfied.
  
     It had been years since I stepped foot into this dimly lit pizza free-for-all but not much has changed, much as I would expect a neighborhood pub to sit immune to modernity. The thin crust is where they excel (yes, there is still a salad bar with all the fixings and garlic ranch your heart could hope for) and the grease is a'plenty.
  
      During the buffet operation hours which are 11-2pm, you snake your way through a non-daunting salad bar straight outta Ruby Tuesday's playboo first. Mama always said eat your veggies first, right? And better yet if those veggies are covered in luscious garlic ranch and piled high with buttery toasty crutons or crispy fried jalapenos. Then, there is the rotating selection of pizza and before you worry too much there are SOME options for you thick/normal/bready *cough boring cough* crust types.
  
      But I will focus on the thin crust puzza cut into neat even little squares. There are all the classics at play here: supreme with black olives and other thinly sliced veggies, sasauge, pepperoni and some other combo of meat. I remcall Waldo Pizza having some of the greasiest finger-licking, napkin soaking, pizza around and it still holds that true. The first plate at the buffet was the only one I needed about 8-10 pieces, though I did take a generous scoop of the pasta on the buffet which consisted of a sweet marinara sauce similar to that found in canned spaghetti-os, bowtie pasta and loads of mild Italian sasauge.
  
      All in all, Waldo Pizza provides a local take on a not so Kansas City pizza style(do we have our own style of pie?)  If you like thin greasy square cut pizza then swipe right, it's your guy. It is family friendly, but not made for kids  like CiCi's or dreaded yet Chuckie Cheese. The pizza and decor and hasn't changed for years so you always know what you're gonna get and if that gets me iceberg lettuce with loads of garlic ranch then I'm okay with it.

  This is one of my favorite pizza places in KC since I moved to the area 10 years ago. Tons of ingredients...meats, cheeses, veggies...if it's unique you'll find it on their menu. Their specialty pizzas are alright, but it's easy to put together a phenomenal pie in your mind and they'll make it a reality. I just ordered Jalapeño bacon and burnt ends with their house cheese blend on a hand tossed crust and it was amazing! One of the best I've ever had! If you're looking for a quality pizza you can add your own spin to, this is the place to do it and trust they'll do it right.
  
  I would either order carryout or dine in. Delivery is not the best and this quality pizza is not one you want to have sitting in a car for 45+ minutes before you get to eat some of it. We do carryout all the time and throw it in the oven for about 10 minutes @200F before we GO TO TOWN!
